Thank you for your interest in the 2016 Edina Art Fair! Festival volunteers are needed in a variety of areas including but not limited to: set-up, tear down, artists registration, art project assistant, artists headquarters, information booth assistant, booth sitter, silent auction, kids zone, parking assistant, etc.
All volunteers receive a free signature Edina Art Fair t-shirt and meal ticket. We encourage you to volunteer with a friend and work together. You must be at least 16 years of age to volunteer.
Below is a list of the volunteer assignment possibilities. Please take a moment to look through them before you submit your application. The earlier you register, the more choices you have and the more likely you are to get the assignment you want. You are welcome to sign-up for multiple shifts. We ask that you remain flexible, as it is sometimes necessary to make adjustments on-site.
The art fair is set up on Thursday evening so we need all the help we can get. Volunteers set up signs, work artist check-in and help insure the artist unloading process runs smoothly.
Have fun with retail while selling Art Fair merchandise. You also will get questions about the Art Fair and the Edina area; a friendly face and clear information helps to make sure the Visitor feels welcome and enjoys the Art Fair.
Booth-sitting/Roving Artist Hospitality
Artists will love you! This is the biggest Volunteer task at the Fair. As a booth-sitter, you cover Artists’ booths to allow them to take breaks. Volunteers can walk around the Art Fair to see if Artists need water, a quick 5 minute bathroom break, or anything else to make their experience at the Art Fair more enjoyable.
If you love working with kids, this is the perfect spot for you! Sell tickets and monitor the bouncy house, Velcro wall and other activities while enjoying live music.
Community Art Project
This is a great place for creative Volunteers to help with art projects for kids and their families – a fun way to watch and help visitors become part of the Art Fair!
Direct people to area parking lots.
If you are flexible and easygoing, this is the spot for you. Floaters are assigned to one of the above roles as needed. Due to the nature of the Fair, it is incredibly helpful to have a handful of Floaters to fill in the gaps or unforeseen situations during every shift.
Art Fair Headquarters
This area serves as the check-in/out for all Volunteers and Artists, first aid, water for volunteers, etc.
