The Edina Art Fair has grown
from a few crafters on the corner of 50th and France
to more than 400 artists displaying a diverse collection of art. The Edina Art Fair enjoys its position as the
Minnesota summer’s first art fair
and the second largest art fair in the state.
The Fair is located in the quaint 50th and France Quarter,
located where Minneapolis and Edina
meet and is hosted by the 50th & France Business &
Professional Association. This unique
neighborhood has a reputation for being dangerously
charming and delightfully decadent – a distinction its members take pride
in.
In 2006 the Edina Art Fair added the Lifestyle Stage in
celebration of the 50th & France
lifestyle. The Lifestyle Stage coupled
with the Entertainment Stage provides a cascade of entertainment for all
ages. Fashion shows, demonstrations in
the art of cooking, floral arranging, spa techniques and more, combines with
notable musicians to make the Lifestyle Stage a visitor focus. The Entertainment Stage provides a
music-lovers dream by celebrating the art of music and featuring both notable as
well as emerging musicians.
In 2007 Lifestyle and Entertainment stage programming was expanded. The Patio (previously the Beer
Garden) was upscaled to create
a summer oasis in viewing proximity of the Lifestyle
Stage. The free no-hassle shuttle was increased.
We are grateful to the Southdale
Shopping Center for providing the
shuttle parking lot which so greatly eliminated visitor frustration, making a
visit to the Edina Art Fair an enjoyable day from start to finish.
Make time to enjoy the diverse collection of art, visit with
more than 400 artists, enjoy children’s activities, fashion shows, great food,
Lifestyle demonstrations and wonderful music.
Welcome summer at the
2008 Edina Art Fair, May 30 - June 1!
