About the Edina Art Fair
The 51st Annual Edina Art Fair is from June 2-4, 2017. The Edina Art Fair has grown to 200,000 visitors throughout the 3-day weekend, while displaying 300 artists diverse collection of art, entertainment, kids zone, craft beer garden in the Edina 5-0 Food Court, and a new beer garden on Drew Avenue.
The Edina Art Fair is the first art fair of the summer and is rated one of the top 50 art festivals in the nation. The fair is held annually in the streets of 50th & France. 50th & France is the pre-eminent shopping destination in the Twin Cities; known for its luxury and lifestyle boutiques!
This unique neighborhood has a reputation for bringing a lifestyle that caters to distinction – a distinction its members take pride in.
In 2009, a free no-hassle shuttle was extended and bus capacity increased, with over 10,000 riders. We are grateful to the Southdale Shopping Center for providing the shuttle parking lot, which, so greatly eliminates visitor frustration, making a visit to the Edina Art Fair an enjoyable day from start to finish. France Avenue was closed off to bus and vehicle traffic to create a worry-free walkway for visitors. Both 50th Street and France Avenue are closed to traffic during the duration of the art festival.
In 2010, A new green art section was added for artist who work with 75% recycled materials. Recycling units were placed around the art fair grounds in efforts to decrease waste.
In 2011, a Foot in the Fair exhibit was added for Edina Students art work.
In 2012, the Community Art Project, Bike Corral, larger children's area, and Strolling Performers was added to the Edina Art Fair.
In 2013, the Silent Auction was added with donated art works from artists to help raise money for our charity partner, The Lupus Foundation of MN. A larger Kids Zone was designed in the Edina 50 parking lot with art activities, kids friendly vendors, bouncy house, velcro wall, puppet shows, and live music.
Achievements: in 2013, the Edina Art Fair was voted the top Fine Arts Fair in Minnesota and 32nd in the nation. In 2010 -2012 the Edina Art Fair received awards from Sunshine Artists and Art Fair Resources Guide as one of the best top 50 art fair in the nation. In 2011, 50th & France business node was voted “Best Shopping Neighborhood” by MN Monthly and “Best Boutique Shopping” by MSP Magazine. In 2012, 50th & France received the award “Best Restaurant District” by MN Monthly. These are the 2 largest publications in Minnesota.
In 2016, the Edina Art Fair celebrated its 50th anniversary and added a craft beer garden hosted by Red Cow. The Edina Art Fair placed in the Reader's Choice for the Best Art Fair in Minnesota in Minnesota Monthly's Best Of!
